Women Helping Women

Thursday, May 20th, Women in Chemicals hosted our very first generation female panel discussion. The topic — “Women Helping Women: How we pull each other up the ladder.”

Our panelists Jean, Andi, and Kristen shared with our nearly 40 attendees across the globe their insights and experiences as female leaders in the chemicals industry. They shared their tremendously unique entrances into the industry and how they have found the support they need while also supporting others to become leaders in the industry. We concluded our discussion with panelist advice around mentorship, executive presence, and creating confidence.

“Encouraging every woman at each of your companies to join this group because…each woman is different and you can gain something from each person… In each meeting I’ve had, I’ve learned something every time.”

— Andi Nagle on how we can prepare women in our industry to succeed

After our panel, all attendees had the chance to break out into small groups for more intimate discussion on the topics covered with our panelists. We used these breakout rooms as a chance to get to know our WIC community members and further learn from each other.

Thank you Jean, Andi, and Kristen.
