A shift back to school for art led her to discover a passion for communications design and marketing. The self-taught web and android app designer ventured into freelancing before becoming a technical director in Austin’s advertising sector.
Career Path: Returning to Houston, Stefanie delved into website development, eventually entering the realm of Media & Entertainment. This phase introduced her to PR and social media, laying the foundation for her future roles. Joining LYB as a website developer marked a turning point. Within six months, she secured a full-time position, eventually becoming the lead of digital communications after developing essential playbooks and guidelines.
Career Pivots & Transitions: However, Stefanie’s journey didn't stop there. A transition to IT followed, where she assumed the role of a product analyst supporting business units in strategic planning and HR/onboarding. Recognized as a technical advisor, she utilized her expertise to contribute significantly. A year and a half ago, Stefanie identified a new opportunity within LYB, stepping into roles involving asset management, event management, and service mapping. Each position became a steppingstone, guided by the principle of aligning work with personal fulfillment.
