Vincci, fondly known as the "Chief Happiness Officer" in her role, shared her remarkable journey from immigrating to the United States to becoming a pivotal figure in the chemical industry.
From Humble Beginnings to Corporate Success: Vincci's journey began as an immigrant from Hong Kong, arriving in Atlanta with little more than determination and two suitcases. Her upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for every opportunity and experience, shaping her resilient character and work ethic.
Despite facing initial language barriers, Vincci's love for reading and writing propelled her forward. She pursued a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and ESL, later transitioning to teaching before exploring various industries, including business, and insurance, and eventually landing in IT and the specialty chemical sector. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Leadership.
Embracing Change and Empowering Others: Vincci's educational path, including a bachelor's and master's degree in English, reflected her passion for language and communication. Although she embarked on a Ph.D. program, she recognized when it no longer aligned with her aspirations and gracefully transitioned to new opportunities.
As a Chief Happiness Officer, Vincci finds fulfillment in supporting others' growth, emphasizing the importance of empathy and soft skills in HR roles. Her advice for the chemical industry underscores the value of focusing on strengths and fostering continuous growth through one-on-one interactions.
