Thank you to those who joined our Generation Female Webinar: Panel On Diverse Career Pathing In One Organization. Our amazing panelists shared with our 100+ attendees their tips and tricks for identifying opportunities. Christine explained the importance of networking, the importance of speaking up to management about what you’re looking for, and how you should never be afraid to embrace change! Ashley explained to us the importance of developing relationships with people who can help you achieve your goals and how you can work in your current job to meet them. We also learned about leveraging internal stakeholders for mentorship towards an ideal career path, and Jen explained that it’s important to bring an open mind and be open to feedback with mentors, and that a good mentor will push you out of your comfort zone. Finally, we dove into making lateral career moves and some tips on how to do so. Annie encouraged us to first make sure the transition is lateral, and second, to not shy away from the awkward transition – that’s where you’ll learn the most!
