Please welcome Lauren Conte as this week's WOTW. Lauren Conte currently works for BluePallet as their Head of Digital Marketing. BluePallet is the market network platform for chemical commerce, helping to connect and communicate with the market, from one-to-one to one-to-many.

Lauren has 12 years in digital marketing, and joined the chemicals industry through her current role with BluePallet. Lauren shared with us how she appreciates the diversity she experiences throughout this industry, but that there is still work to be done in representative diversity in leadership roles. Empowering women to take on big leadership roles is super valuable.

When asked about how to empower women in the industry, Lauren emphasized the importance of female partnerships and networking, a pillar of our WIC community. She talked about how it is important to recognize women as our allies, even in the competitive environments that the Chemicals industry can put as in.

In closing, Lauren left us with a few recommendations. She shared with us to own the rooms we present in, to have a presence and confidence in our work and in ourselves, She said “Don't be small, don't fit in to the box, be bold, & stick by your decisions."
